This morning we find the sweetness of summer with the pretty wedding in Sologne d 'Eleanor & Matthew. A wedding and DIY, a bride to fall under the goal of talented Julien Rouvelou from Street Focus.
Back with Eleonore on a d-day as we like them.

The encounter

Our story with Matthew was not built in a day! We met during our first year of business school in Normandy. It was only a year later, after being class neighbors, co-drivers and friends … that we became in love! After that everything was very fast, a weekend in London, the end of our studies, a trip of 6 months in New Zealand, until our installation in Tours, near Orleans where Matthew is from.

Five years later, more in love than ever, Matthieu asked me for my hand in my parents' house in the English Channel. It is natural that we immortalized our engagement session there, surrounded by our friends, thanks to Julien Rouvelou.

Preparations

The choice of place was not very difficult to find: hunting enthusiasts and nature lovers, we wanted a wedding in our image, in the heart of Sologne! We quickly fell under the charm of Domaine des Fontaines in Nouan-le-Fuzelier and the theme came out of it.

And the rest followed …

The decor: invitations to the room, everything was homemade (thank you Mom)! Including stickers on cars, signs, booklets, placement labels, terrines and bracelets for guest gifts.

The photograph : we were late to find a photographer available for the end of August but we had the chance to meet Julien from Street Focus who gave us unforgettable memories of this day and who knew how to sublimate us …

The florist ! Let's talk about it ! We put the key under the door 3 months before the wedding …… fortunately our caterer directed us to the wonderful Romy of the Violet Fairy in Orleans who helped us a lot. The result was sober and natural, that's what we wanted.

D-day

As for the dress, I did not know exactly what I wanted but it had to be THE dress. The first was the good, without a doubt and it is thanks to Margaux Tardits who does an amazing and modern job!
Matthieu wanted a navy blue three-piece suit not so easy to find in summer. Then we made tailor made green-forest bow ties for each witness by Colonel Mustard and homemade buttonholes in green cartridges to fit the theme perfectly!

The advice of the bride

1. Always keep in mind to have fun
Preparations are long, sometimes stressful, but it's an unforgettable day. Enjoy every moment.

2. Take pleasure in giving pleasure

This day was ours, but without our relatives and friends she would not have had the same taste. We wanted to thank everyone for special gifts and again in our image. We chose to offer a small bracelet for women and a small wild boar terrine for men, all homemade! A real job, but we took a real pleasure to prepare all that.

3. Do not dwell on the details

When we embark on preparations, ideas and desires fuse. But do not get flustered, you will not have the time or the patience to do everything, go to the essential, especially on details that no one will notice.

4. Enjoy together and take time in the day to land in two

You will be solicited throughout the day, you will want to enjoy everyone, especially during the reception and it will pass quickly. You will always have honeymooners who will bring you to eat and drink, they have been there a few weeks ago, they will think of you do not worry. But remember especially that this day is yours. Book yourself a few moments to meet up with two and become aware of what you are going through! Enjoy together!
